come by 和 come 的不同

Come by one day and look at some of other the dogs.

在乎思不变的状况下我可以把 come by 换成 come 么？

        Come by  的意思是“为了看望某人作短暂的拜访”， come 的意思是“来”。所以，下面两个句子都正确，但含义不同：

        Come by one day and look at some of other the dogs. （来的目的是拜访某人，look at some of other the dogs 是顺便做的事情）

        Come one day and look at some of other the dogs （来的目的是 look at some of other the dogs，而不是看望某人）
